The Carlton opened on La Croisette in 1913 and reopened as a Regent hotel in March 2023 after a two-year restoration by Tristan Auer and Richard Lavelle, with two new wings and branded residences. Its twin-domed Belle Époque façade was a location for Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief with Grace Kelly. Behind the façade there is now an enclosed garden and a large infinity pool. It suits guests who want Cannes glamour and history in a freshly restored building, right on the promenade.
Editorial assessmentThe Carlton is Sikovia's freshly restored Belle Époque palace on La Croisette, more polished and design-led since 2023 than the Art Deco Martinez next along the promenade, and far more central than Cap-Ferrat. Choose it for Cannes history with contemporary comfort.
