Every suite faces the lake, and the design draws on regional craft in silk, woodwork and boatbuilding rather than frescoes and gilt. Como town is about eight minutes away by car or ten by boat, so the city is easy to combine with lake time.
Editorial assessmentIl Sereno is Sikovia's contemporary Lake Como hotel and the closest to Como town. Passalacqua is similarly intimate but historic; Tremezzo, Victoria and Mandarin Oriental are larger, with more pools and restaurants. Choose Il Sereno for modern design, all-suite space and quick boat access to the city.
